Land of Talk came to Portland, ME, my home town last night. I missed it. I wanted to go but could not find people who would join me, as this band is not very well known. Ticket price - $8. Are you kidding me! If you ever get a chance to go see them...do it! and if you dont know who they are...here's a video for their song "Its Okay". It was nominated for video of the year at the 2010 Juno Awards. And yes, the Juno awards are a big deal; it is essentially Canada's version of the Grammy Awards. In attendance at the Juno Awards: Michael Buble, Nickelback, Drake, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Kings of Leon, Taylor Swift, K'naan, and countless other extraordinary artists. The point I am trying to make is, if you can see someone nominated for a Juno Award at a cozy venue in your hometown for 8 dollars... do it!
